6 Ways to Boost Your Confidence Before Going to Work

6 Ways to Boost Your Confidence Before Going to Work You find yourself hitting the snooze button several times in order to squeeze in a couple more minutes of quality time with your bed. Let’s face it. Who really wants to get up at the first sound of your alarm when you know the magnitude of the work that is waiting for you? You aren’t just holding on to your sheets because your inbox of responsibilities is much longer than the standard 9-5 work day that the majority of the world complains about. The real reason that you keep pressing the snooze button is because your mind hasn’t been programmed for morning success; as soon as you transform your mentality, you can change your entire reality. And that’s what will give you the confidence you need in order to tackle the day ahead. Are you ready to be busting with energy in the morning when the majority of people are still trying to figure out what day it is? Take advantage of these confidence boosters before going to work and you will set the tone for a rewarding day.  Define Your Purpose for Waking Up Why do you do what you do? If your answer is to pay the bills, that is the reason it’s hard for you to separate yourself from your bed every morning. Think bigger. When you have a clear and compelling purpose behind what you do, the things that used to be harder suddenly become easier. You are motivated to do things that you wouldn’t normally do. Purpose creates passion, develops perseverance, and strengthens your patience. Always start your day reminding yourself of your purpose and everyone will be wondering why you are always so full of energyâ€"even on a Monday morning! Create Daily Affirmations Affirmations are positive statements that shift our mindset and allow us to manifest our desires. Create affirmations that energize and empower you so that you can create the feeling of already having whatever it is you want. Post the affirmations where you can see them daily. Here are examples of affirmations that you can use. I have the courage to go after what I really want. My personality attracts more success to me. I am valued and appreciated for the work that I do. The work that I am doing is preparing me for something greater. Look in the mirror and say the affirmations out loud. This will work wonders for your confidence. Listen to Something Motivational Whether it’s the radio, podcast, or audio books, listen to something that gets you excited about the day ahead. What you put in your mind will come out throughout the day. Tune in to your favorite Ted Talks in order to get an immediate boost. Here are some links to popular Ted Talks that I’ve used to provide me with instant morning motivation. Consistently? Exercise gives you a sense of accomplishment before starting your day and makes you more productive during the day. It also allows you to burn the negative thoughts and build your performance muscles. Do you have limited time in the morning? Find 30-day challenges on pinterest that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Then get a fitness-tracking device so that you can monitor your progress. Plan to Do Something You Love Have you ever been in love? Well you already know how love impacts your mood and actions. When you are in love, you skip to the beat of your own drum and don’t allow anything to stop your flow. Start planning your schedule around doing at least one thing that you love. This gives you something to look forward to. When you know that you will get a reward, you will perform with your head up high. Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude Keep a gratitude journal. Whenever you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, you will need this as a reminder of what matters most in life. Start by writing at least three things to be grateful for as soon as you wake up. Do this enough and your brain will start scanning the room for even more things to be grateful for. When you are grateful for where you are, you don’t worry about where you are not.
